We paid over $3000 (with insurance) to have a middle class convertible car for 2 weeks. It was for my honey moon. For this price I think Sixt should be able to block high class convertibles for their clients. On the day we picked the car, the staff explained to me that they only can propose what they have in stock (in my case a Volkswagen T-ROC) and then added it’s too bad we have an Audi TT but it’s only available for 5 days… great.. next time I will look for a car rental that can “reserve” cars Other than that the drop off not at the airport (we were in Nice) is not very convenient but it’s manageable depending on your flight departure time. You would still have to pay a taxi to get to the airport, transfer the luggages etc…

It was a perfect experience. The young gentlemen were very welcoming and super helpful. I felt very confident and both interactions, pick up and drop off was efficient and pleasant. Exactly how you want to be treated when renting a beautiful spots car to drive through the mountains of Italy. Good Job Steven and his helpful colleagues. Thanks Cindy S Canada.

Our salesman was helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable. He was also a great salesman and it was good that we upgraded the car and got the insurance. On the downside, we had to stand at the window with him for a very long time and there was no chair which doesn’t work for everyone and I’m one of those people. The pick up and drop off is a little tricky but perhaps unavoidable. The really bad part was that I locked the keys in the trunk of the car and customer service with the phone number was very very poor. It was clear we weren’t going to get anything done unless we went back to the office and spoke in person to our salesman. So that’s what my husband did – – he walked back to the Sixt office and then we got help. Once he did that everything was fine. We got a tow truck and the driver was able to get into the trunk.
The drop-off was a nightmare. They insisted I had to bring back the car before 5.30 pm because I hadn’t bought extra insurance. But then the office was closed, and I had to come back the next morning... On top of it they got really rude when I complained
The tank showed full, but only barely. Two miles further it was below 'full'. Which means that whoever returned it didn't do a good job filling up, nor did the garage pick up on it
