Cheap Car Hire in Tel Aviv, Israel

Had a bad experience with the Rental Car Got stuck the first day- Car would not go into Reverse or Drive & had to be pushed out of traffic Managed to get going after 1/2 hour -Called Hertz support who told me to call again if it happens again. 1 hr later the same issue when trying tp park & had to be pushed out of the road traffic. Called Hertz support again -after a long while if was given a different code and this appeared to solve the problem. A few days later I was parked in Haifa. The car started fine but as soon as I put in in gear it cut out I tried a few times without success & some people also tried to help. After leaving the car for about 1/2 hour we managed to start the car . A week later in Natanya, the same issue. Car started fine but cut out when put into gear. My wife went to call Hertz again but in the meantime after many tries I got the car started again. I would also like to mention that the warning on the dash kept showing car 2000 KM over due service.

Their pdf to settle the account was in part in Hebrew and unintelligible to an English-only speaker!

I liked the customer service, but didnt like a fact that my rental cost is doubled due to various fees related to the car insurance. I had my credit card rental car insurance which i could not use due to some Hertz limitations.

They charged us 250 sheckles bc the inside if the car had not been vacuumed.....absurd. It took about 1.5 hs to get the car at the airport. Not very happy with the service.

First, lack of employees at the arrival counter! Come on, an International Airport and Sixt has only ONE representative to help customers. It took me over half an hour to be served. Car itself was good, with no issues issues. The main issue is that Sixt is trying to switch the currency that I booked under. I used Kayak Canada, which shows the prices that I'm paying in Canadian dollars. Well, after I booked and confirmed, Sixt is trying to charge me in US dollars!! That's almost a 30 % difference!! When I returned the car, at a different location, to 122 HaYarkon St., Tel Aviv and alerted the Manager Lior ( one of the nastiest and rudest representatives that I've ever met!!) He couldn't have care less!! Blew me off like I was a nobody!! I'll be stopping payment on the car rental till this is scam is sorted out!! All I can say is: RENTER BE WARE!!

Everything was great. I’ll use them again.
