บริติชแอร์เวย์ flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Lisbon (BKK - LIS)

Due to the death of my uncle I was unable to take this flight. I called AA repeatedly for 4 hours to tell them I was unable to take flight. I was placed on hold and told I would be called by an agent. By the time the agent from American Airlines called it was 3 min before the flight was due to take off. The agent told me they could not help me and that I needed to contact Kayak regarding booking. I did this straight away but the Kayak agent could not get ahold of AA prior to the flight departing and my entire reservation was cancelled which cancelled my return journey ticket home from London to Los Angeles. The ticket cost $2400 and I tried for 17 days to remedy this issue with kayak.

Kayak screwed me on the checked bags: Gave me two free bags on my outbound flight (thanks?), but zero checked bags on inbound. I tried to correct before flight but they were no help. I had one bag to check each way but it cost me $90. Couldn't check in online in advance due to COVID protocols, then British Airways charged me extra surcharge for buying checked baggage allowance at check in. I tried to talk to Kayak before the trip - Couldn't/wouldn't help. Tried to talk to BA at check in - couldn't/wouldn't help. Clerks are not empowered to help anyone anymore. Its all about what the system lets them do. Computers rule us I guess... WTF people.

I transited through LHR on my way to and from Lisbon Portugal (Oct 27 & Nov 6). There were several challenges to add files and complete the Passenger Locator Form at home/hotel and at the airport counters. This presented further challenges to those without smart phones, charged devices or unable to access the internet. This was neither a user-friendly nor an intuitive process. Please consider sharing data with the airline(s) to facilitate this process and further simply the process for those in transit. Check in took almost 1.5 hours and a near-missed flight.
