Car did not exist. A call was made (no voicemail) from an unknown number at 9pm the night before my reservation. I returned the call several times, only getting an answer at 11am the next day (4 hours before reservation), only to learn that the car was not available. I didn't receive any other notfication -- no email, no voicemail, and no 2nd call. No effort was made to find me an alternative and no compensation was offered -- only to follow up with customer service.

Brand new car. I paid extra 70$ and got diesel.

I paid for automatic Mercedes but I got Seat. They asked me to translate my driving licence from my embassy though it is in English and used it before in Berlin with priceline and hertz

Absolutely horrible experience. Dirty office, not a single customer got the type of car they had reserved, staff was friendly to us, but rude to others. We had reserved a standard sedan and ended up with a 9 seater van that was extremely hard to navigate in and out of what must have been the narrowest parking garage with the lowest ceilings. There was literally an inch of space between van roof and parking garage ceiling. Would never use this branch again.

We originally booked the car through Dollar (which is managed by the same location as Hertz) and when we arrived we were informed that we had to accept the additional insurance which would have doubled the price. We cancelled the dollar reservation and re-booked through Hertz at a higher rate to avoid the insurance charges. They gave us the exact same car they were going to give us through Dollar (but now at a high rate). Also, we found several small scratch and dings on the car - when we told the lady at the desk she said not to worry about them but when we brought the car back we were hassled about them. Luckily we had documented everything with pictures and videso when we picked up the car so we avoided extra charges. very annoying car rental experience.
