Too few staff, for one. Only 4 cars on the lot for 6 customers. Waited 90 minutes to check in only to find it would be another 3 hours to wait for a car.
Insurance is a bit of a rip off and they don’t recognise our travel insurance covers their car. Car was given to us with a low pressure in a tyre, no water in the window washers and a drivers door handle loose.
Pick up from the airport took ages and getting a vehicle once we got to the depot also took a long time. We booked a small car and I got a 7 seat van which was fine for me but had one mirror held on with tape.
I know car rental companies make most of their profit from selling insurance but easirent’s insurance more than doubled the cost of the rental. Seemed excessive. Also the pick up was slow. Other than that the car and staff were fine.
The car quality isn’t great and the pick up location isn’t at the airport. Luckily another car company told me I needed to call them to pick us up from the airport to shuttle us to their location, otherwise we would have been screwed. Can’t really complain though considering their prices are so much lower for an automatic van than any other company.
Before booking you need to make it clear to people, that they can avoid a large excess by paying for insurance and you need to do this in advance. You also need to confirm that your office is not on site and give instructions in advance on how people get to your office. You need to resolve your phone connections because sometimes the number that you are expected to call does not work.

It would be great to have insurance information upfront.
Rental agent was rather unprofessional. After a long flight from Canada, the last thing I wanted was an unhelpful agent. A side note, not one person at the desk was wearing a mask.
Could use a ‘test’ area for people to learn how to deal with left-side driving and round-abouts before going out into the real-world driving conditions.
The diesel vw was very efficient.
Stop lying and constantly require upselling
Ordered a minivan in advance. When arrived they had none. Forced into a 900eu upgrade to the largest vehicle, a BMW X5 which barely fit 4 adults, one child seat and our luggage. We were cramped for 2 weeks of driving. Tried unsuccessfully to swap cars for a minivan in Belfast.

Car was comfortable and made driving a cinch in the city and countryside.
Front desk tactics were aggressive and I felt we spent more than we needed to.
Staff try an rip you off and charge additional fees when you arrive. My guy told me that bringing the tank back empty would ‘save’ me money but only if it was less than 1/4 empty. Very unnerving.
Bait and switch pricing. $200 extra for an automatic? Horrible experience!
I rent an Astra with ar conditioning. Thrifity gave me a Skoda Fabia without AC. At the desk rental the attendant has confirmed that the car size for this rental is Fabia and there was no AC. The car got a flat tyre during the trip.
Car type is not Astra as advertised, is a Skoda Fabia, very short on accessories.

The drop off was very efficient
It took quite a few minutes at pick up; not sure if they weren't expecting as many customers at that time or just didn't have enough staff. Took about 30 mins to get our car.
