They did a bait and switch on me at Heathrow by claiming that as my flight arrived early they didn't have a car available in the class I booked. So what they had was 250% higher. As I was there for my mother's 100 birthday, and they are well away from all other rental companies, I had to accept it. However I will never rent from them again
No one was at the Sixt counter to collect the car, and after waiting 30 minutes, I called the Sixt helpline, only to find an automated message saying my booking had been cancelled. That meant I had to book another car with a rental company whose desk was manned at twice the cost of the original. I am absolutely disgusted with both Sixt and Kayak for not informing me of the cancellation, and leaving me in the lurch after a 10 hour flight and I will not be using either again.

Car was fine, pretty standard
Did not get a final bill at the return -- got a copy of damage report emailed (no damage, everything in order, fuel full, etc. ), but did not get a bill. I rent a lot for business and family trips and expect to immediatly get a final bill for the rental on return -- very unsatisfactory. Will I get a surprise? I don't know?
Ease of pick up and no worried about the vehicle
I don't like that you always end up spending 2x more money than the rental to cover insurance as they will not take insurance from the state's. Would like to have this disclosed.
