Cheap Car Rentals in East of The Strip, Las Vegas

We had a reservation to pick up the car at 2pm at Las Vegas location and arrived at 2:05 to be told they had just returned from lunch and the car was not ready and had to be cleaned. We were asked to wait in the sitting area while the lone staff member at the counter stared at her phone. 5 minutes later I had to ask why we couldn't be doing the paperwork while we waited. She seemed completely uninterested or unwilling in providing any kind of positive interaction. Do these people not take any kind of Customer Service training? When the paperwork was finally complete and the not very clean car made available to us it was almost 3:00 and we were the only customers there. On the plus side the car, although not clean, was fine, the price was good and the drop off in Palm Springs was very fast. Given a choice we would not rent from Dollar again.

Being Las Vegas is a major tourist area you would think your cars would have GPS. Closing at 4 pm is inconvenient unless you’re flying early in the day.

The staff was great. Vic, in particular, was really helpful!

They way overbooked. Didn’t have the minivan I reserved. I had to scramble to look for other options. Seriously what does reservation mean if you don’t hold the reservation?

We loved the EXCELLENT customer service we received when we picked up the car (the person that helped us is named Keti). However, when we got home they told us we damaged the car in 3 places. THIS IS A HORRIBLE LIE!!!! We only went to the hotel, to a wedding reception the next day, back to the hotel, then to a wedding the next day and back to hotel, then the airport. And we always park far away from other vehicles!!! Oh, and the Ford Bronco that we drove only had 38,000 miles on it and it was horribly uncomfortable. Brakes squeaked, and it didn't drive smoothly. And I wouldn't have even mentioned this part but since we were accused of damaging the car...
