Good day. The 2 employees working at The Alameda Hertz San Jose chose not to answer the ringing phone . I began calling them on December 27th, just so as to make sure getting a driver to bring me all the way there for my confirmed car rental would not be a big waste of time. Sadly after trying to get thru on the phone , I got a ride there. Only to witness both employees letting the phone ring right before my eyes, yet never answering it once. I also was told I’d be put on a wait list for a car that was not there. The wait list was hand written on a paper with at least 30+ names ahead of me on it. #1 issues are the phone wasn’t attempted to be answered, yet there are 2 customer service employees working there. I see 1 who could answer calls every few minutes, and photograph vehicles and another who could greet customers / check in reservations. I also see that a general manager was not present to help, nor was a assistant manager there to help if it was so busy. Bottom line , no one absolutely no one tried to answer phone calls therefore waisting our time going there. Just wanted to know if there was a car there for my reservation or not before going there. Spoke to a hertz supervisor Erik on the phone to see if he could get the employees there to answer the business phone , and surprise! Erik supervisor could NOT get them to answer their business phone. He also could not get the General Manager mr Pham to answer his phone either. So a business that chooses deliberately to NOT answer calls during business hours. For safety reasons, I chose to call ahead to make sure it would it be a waste of time Togo there. But I got a driver to bring me there since no one would answer the business phone. Time terribly wasted. -Alexia
