Alamo failed to clearly communicate that they do NOT have a pick-up/drop-off desk in Terminal 2! Although the reservation said that it was "Airport Pickup," and the fine print DID say they had desks in T1 and T3, it did not give sufficient heads up that T2 is very far from T1 and T3, and there is no airport shuttle, and no way to walk there from T2. This meant we had to walk around for 30-45 min figuring out what to do, and in the end, we had to book an airport taxi (with its expensive airport fee) BOTH for pick-up AND drop-off, which added to our expenses and even worse, added to our inconvenience and time. When I told the staff, they were very apologetic, but they were unable to help offer us a ride and did not take much responsibility at all.

Car was not ready on time, I had to wait to receive it, and the staff in the office did not bother to have it brought down until AFTER I was done with the paperwork. The car was relatively clean, but they used a cleaner that left residue on the navigation screen that I could not get off. The car had 1/4 tank of gas, but the paperwork said it was full. When I brought it back, they charged me for a tank of gas because I returned it as they delivered it to me. I won't rent from Enterprise at Dubai Terminal 3 again. Ever.

They refused to present a car. My licence was not accepted. I don't understand why. Because my driving licence always accepted in whole Europe. I'm a traveller renting motorcycles and cars everywhere. But here they did not accept my driving licence. They decided that my licence is not international)). If my license is not international how other countries supply with motorcycles and cars.

The pickup took around an hour, including redoing virtually everything in my online purchase and signing all new contracts, after I believed I had already signed and paid for everything. Also I was told that the insurance I purchased from Kayak did not cover a bunch of things and that I needed a different credit card to secure a large deposit to cover potential damages not covered by that insurance.

Nothing unfortunately

I went there with all the necessary documents. After some time waiting, they informed me that they didn't have the car I rented, nor any other car in the upgrade. Even though I have reserved the car way before AND paid for it AND called to confirm a day before, they did not have the car... I still didn't receive my refund by the way. They did offer a downgrade, but I couldn't send back home one of my kids with two bags!

The vehicle was booked with basic insurance but once the car was to be collected Budget requested me to pay the basic insurance again. So this was paid twice. Tax Invoice from Budget not yet received.

they charged me extra for my reservation, stuff at pickup was rude and when I asked about his supervisor he told me that there is no supervisor, drop off was easy stuff was friendly, but it looks like they charged me twice for the tool road, I paid cash 86 Dirhams and I see that they charged my bank

My reservation was total $119.00 and I see that they charge my account for $144.00, they charged me 86 Dirhams for tools which I paid cash and now I see that they also charged my credit card for $23, which is worrying me.

New car and clean

The value of the money high. No drop of and pick up of the car in terminal 2 and they don't care to drop you and your kids to the enterance of the airport departure section. You have to walk all the way and cross streets with your kids and bags. They will plane you for any dent in the care watch out before taking the car.

The car was comfortable.

We were vastly overcharged. Our rental stated the full cost. On arrival, Budget extorted additional fees and surcharges, items that were noted as zero on our confirmation. Budget tried to say it was Kayak's responsibility and Kayak said it was Budget's. Around and around I went. The increase in fees was 60%. Kayak was nice and said that they are not a travel agency but only a search engine and that the reservation was made directly with Budget. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. What a scam.

If anything, it was a proper price at first sight

- Check-in took extremely long - Car was dirty - Gas tank was 80% - 58692 km on the clock, which is a lot for a not so good car - Electronic key failed multiple times - Screen wash reservoir empty - Tires or wheels made a terrible whooping noise When returning the car the return agent complained heavily about the car being dirty, which was caused by the roads being very muddy due to the heavy rain that came in during the past days before our arrival. I did not wash the car before returning, because it was also not washed when I got it. He also immediately found a dent (very suspicious because the dent was invisible from standing next to the car, it almost looked as if he exactly knew where the dent was) underneath the car on the left side of which he tried to blame me because it was NOT on the damage form. I did for sure NOT bump on to something that might have caused this dent. If they rent out old cars with over 58000 km and then try to blame me for some not obvious damage, they should present clear detailed pictures of all sides including the bottom, with a creation date of 1 minute before pickup, so I can check all damages upfront. I never went on my knees to check the bottom of any rental car. When picking up the car they already missed a very obvious big bump in the hood, luckily, I saw that one at 02:00 at night with bad lighting, otherwise, based on the attitude of the people, I expect they would have tried to blame me for that one too. I normally rent with Hertz (gold member) and never had any problem and I now know why budget is cheaper. I MUST SAY THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN CHARGED YET BUT THE EXPERIENCE WAS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME MAD AND VERY SUSPECIOUS and if they really going to charge me for the damage, I will try to get my credit card company to go against them. IT WAS A VERY BAD AND OFFENDING EXPERIENCE!

They tried to charge me an extra 50 USD just to drop off in AD when it was clearly included in the original booking, then they added 50 AED for airport pickup when again, the booking was originally front the airport. Basically a load of hidden fees. Borderline scam. And the car was a bit old and dirty.

We arrived at DXB to find that the rental agency Payless no longer existed at DXB. The phone number provided by the booking service is not in service. We were stranded and our only options were to take taxis or book expensive last minute car rentals on the spot. We opted for taxis and public transportation as the other rental options were too expensive. We were surprised and let down. I know now not to rely on Kayak.
