Even though I had paid in full the agent st the counter only gave me upgrade options and didn’t allow us to get a car that we had already paid for. Didn’t realize this until we returned the car and got the bill for an additional $100.

First mini van they gave me didn’t have fold down seats. Went back to counter ang was given another vehicle no problem. Upon returning my van, I was asked which airlines I was taking. I responded that I was local going to walk back to my office about 3 blocks away. No problem, they offered me a ride to my office. Thank you Hertz. Aloha

I liked that it’s right across the arrival gates.

That they charge you by the hour after a contracted time is up. It’s like renting a love motel except they screw you over. Trying to drop off the car at a poorly managed hnl terminal give yourself 15-30 extra minutes once you arrive at the airport to drop off.

The car was nice. It performed well. A customer service person, after some work on the phone, help me fix two of the issues.

The car was not completely clean, inside and out. But, the worst part, was that they rewarded me for spending more money - extending my rental - by almost doubling my daily rate. Also, they would not offer a weekly rate, even though I had the car for 8 days, because I initially started renting for only 4 days.

Pick-up wait was over 40 minutes, which happens but other company’s lines shifted faster or had less people. But grateful for the service, thank you!

Easy drop off

Really aggressive upsell attempts at pickup for better model, insurance, gas. Car was a worn out Kia Optima which felt like a big step down from the Camry pictured when I booked the car. I got the strong impression the agent gave us the worst car he had because we booked through Kayak and refused all the upsells

They offer you a low rate but don't have enough cars to support. Waited THREE HOURS for my car, gave up, rented from Avis. Hertz is parent company who did same to me elsewhere. Will never rent from Hertz/Dollar/Thrifty again.

Staff were so friendly. The computer system in Honolulu wasn’t communicating correctly with my drop off in Kailua, this added about an hour to our wait. Staff were great but it was a bit tiring after a long flight.

Got there and was told " don't know why they advertise Jeeps, don't have any" Tried to give me a mini van that was trashed inside and out. Got my money back and a Cab back to the airport to rent from a well known name.
