East process for drop off and pick up!

DO NOT TRUST PAYLESS!! They canceled our reservation the night before pick up and did not have a replacement for us! There was no one at the desk when we arrived at the airport! We were stuck trying to find a replacement and ended up paying twice the amount!!

The sales person renting the car was knowledgeable regarding insurance, need for toll transponder, and condition of the car (a few minor scrapes). By suggesting that my credit card may already cover collision damage (he was correct) and explaining the need for a transponder where I was headed (he was correct again) he saved my a great deal of money. His performance also underscored the reputation of Economy Rent a Car as the best place to “Rent a Car”. Nothing could have been better on both pick-up and return. Dave Weatherbee

The service and people were great, but the car was old with high miles. Belts squeaked, tires leaked, alignment was off.

The only thing that I would improve is when I return the car.There was no acknowledgment of what condition the car was once I returned it in writing or email . But everything else was good and with rent from them again .

Easy and friendly pick up and return

Need a shuttle from airport to off-airport rental location

We believed that our pickup was at the airport but the location was 3 mles away. This would have been fine but they did not have a shuttle so we had to pay for a taxi to take us to the locaiton. When we got their we were infomed that they had no SUV's at all which is what we paid to rent. They only thing they had on their lot was 2 Mini Van's which is what they told us we had to take. Even though their were plenty of SUV's 3 miles up the road at their airport location the woman refused to have one brought for us. We did not like the minivan at all. It was more difficult to park and since space was limited where we spent the week it became a big problem. I placed my rental request weeks before my pickup. There was no excuse for them to not have the vehicle I paid to rent.

Easy drop off

Extremely long line at the check-in counter. Well over an hour. Once getting to the counter they tell me my reservation was not for the Budget at the airport. Not sure how that happened since I chose the airport as my pickup location. At least they were able to correct it. It ended up costing more as well. At least the dropoff was quick and easy.

Car smelled like smoke. Tires were noisy and alignment felt bad. Brakes were pulsing and grinding a little bit.
