I liked the comfort of the car and it's cornering. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

I HATE all the assists on the car. It would constantly grab the wheel and forcibly turn it back into the lane if I got too close to the line. I also could not figure out the display panel without reading the manual. Also, the wait time at the Gallatin Pike office was exceedingly long. We had to wait for them to go pick up a car from the lot and it took a long time.

The agent explained the basic operations of the vehicle, which was really helpful as I always have to search to figure each new car's set-up.

Other than a sign to state that we could not enter the office, there was no indication of where to stand outside so there was confusion on who was next in line to be served. Additionally, it was extremely sunny and hot and there were no coverings or shade to wait in. The agent did not inform me that the rental drop-off location in DC that was on my reservation is currently closed due to COVID-19, so I didn't know that I had to drop-off the vehicle at a completely different location than I had selected.

Absolutely nothing

Booked my car a week in advance with my credit card. 7 days later went to pick up my car and they told me they didn’t accept my credit card, AFTER ALREADY TAKING THE MONEY OUT. So I was left with no money and no car to get to lung transplant follow up appointment out of state the next morning. They told me to “go down the street and open up a different bank account” after filing a complaint, the manager told me they could’ve accepted it the card after all if they had just looked into the situation a little deeper instead of brushing it off. So now I’ve missed my doctors appointment and I’m still waiting on a refund.

They didn't have the carseat we had ordered and called ahead to make sure they had, the car smelled like cigarettes, then I had to chase a car seat down at another location that turned out to not actually be a carseat.

I reserved a car in advance through Kayak and as we were taking an uber to the Budget location I called ahead only to learn that they had overbooked and had no cars available at all. I was given sympathies but no actual help. Very poor experience. I still don’t understand how car rental companies and airlines can get away with overbooking and just shrug their shoulders to the people who get screwed.

Avis called me, literally, as my Uber was pulling up to drive me to the rental location to tell me they did not have any cars available for the day. I ended up paying almost double for a last minute rental from another service, was very late getting where I needed to be AND I have a $50 charge on my credit card from Avis and the insurance yet to be refunded. Terrible, defensive agent when they called at the last minute too. Avis will never get my business again and I may need Kayak to assist with getting these charges reversed/refunded.
