Please make sure the note to bring the credit card with you to pick up is SUPER HUGE! I am not someone who carries the credit card I use for these kinds of purchases. It is in my phone for tap payment and of course I have access to it when I needed it, but I didn't have it when I first arrived. Yes, you do have the information that says to bring it, but not prominent enough. I don't rent cars enough to know this is required. So I would appreciate that being a HUGE flash sign you tell everyone that rents cars...more than just a note. When I got there, the place didn't have my car. They were waiting for it to be driven over from the next city. It didn't have a full tank because of this (Mostly full, but one tick down on the fuel gauge) The car sorta smelled like sweat, but I was able to use spray to make it tolerable. The car was ok. Chevy Sparks are terrible, but they get the job done.
The process was smooth
The first van they gave me was a dented up junk. Driver seat was all ripped up. The plates and Inspection were both expired. I returned it immediately and the next van the same. The third attempt was acceptable. Probably won’t use kayak or Hertz again.
Office space is very shabby and dirty. Car smelled strongly of air fresheners and the high touch surfaces didn't seem to have been cleaned well. I think I somehow lucked out with not too much trouble but I won't be trying my luck at this Hertz again.

Rather it be cleaned more carefully ahead of time, but when we complained, the staff person was very courteous, and she cleaned it as best she could.
Pick up was a nightmare. I mistakenly rented the car from an off-site, not at the airport, and was told I could cancel it and WOULD get a refund. We canceled and rented the car FROM the Hertz kiosk at the Norfolk, VA airport. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND YET!!! I've called several times!!!
DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!! There are better, more honest, more helpful companies. This one will NOT give me my refund!!!
They didn’t have a car for me. Even though the reservation was confirmed….really inconvenient for a work trip. This is also not the first time this has happened.

Staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable
We ran around between 2 locations because no one advised the same information which resulted in one teservationnbeing cancelled and new one being created, also after confirming and leaving the office I was called back being advised I was given the wrong car and had to come back. What should have taken 30 minutes turned to 2 hour delay in my plans
Car was very nice. Able to to turn in car after hours.
They were completely unprepared with my vehicle. Took a long time to fuel the vehicle, clean it, process the paperwork. They didn't answer the phones when I called ahead of time to ensure they were getting it ready. I waited 45min-1 hour after my reservation time to get my vehicle. Not happy.
The people who work there are friendly. They worked with me getting the information that I didn't bring with me. The option of having someone drop you off is great. I rented a Chrysler 200 at a good price.
The windshield was dirty on the inside. It looked like someone had smoked a couple packs of cigarette in there.
