Cheap Car Rentals in Water's Edge / Meadowbrook, Norfolk

Agent for car pick up was quick, friendly, efficient. Same for drop off agent. Car had issues - low tire pressure light would not go off despite trying to fill the tire. Lights would not work on "Auto" so had to put them on manual. Got "Change Oil Soon" light during rental. One suggestion is to include a link to the vehicle's owners manual in the rental agreement, or e-mail the link to the customer. I had to search and search online for info that would have been in the owners manual.

I have a major credit card, but it don’t have $1,500 on it, so I couldn’t rent the vehicle I needed to go on my vacation. I was able to find an independent owner and the cost is less expensive then enterprise. For now on I will be using the independent company it’s no headache or hostile when renting a vehicle from them. Thank you but no thanks for future business with enterprise. I will be telling everyone about the company I use.

I booked to pick up at the ORF airport and when I got there, my reservation was for an office a couple miles away. I ended up paying the walk up rate rather than what I had booked

Our flight was delayed, but this didn't end up being a problem at all. We actually got upgraded which was nice! As always, the Enterprise staff at pickup and drop off were great.

Great car, clean, new and great pricing ( convenient in-airport pick up and drop off).

The first day of my price check, it was $60/day. The next day, when I was ready to buy, it was $125 and up???????

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. There is no toll package and you will be charged $15.00 for every toll you go through. There are many tolls around Rochester and there are no cash payment options. So, if you drive anywhere, you'll be looking at at least $30 dollars in administrative fees. I will NEVER rent through Dollar again, especially from this location. 0 stars, avoid at all costs.

Only improvement could have been with their pricing. I ended up getting there 30min earlier than expected. Instead of saying no problem, I was told I need to drop the car off 30min earlier on return. They have every right to expect compensation for their product/services and if 30min is no big deal then the guy says well he's just 30min earlier than that (and this logic never ends) and Hertz could be out a significant amount of money. But it also took me more than 30min to go through the rental process, get the car, and leave the airport. It just seemed like the company wanted every $0.10 they could get. Maybe a little flexibility would have been better. Still no complaint.

Hertz has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The 800 number was not located in the US. There was never a supervisor available the 4 times I called. I used their email and it says they will reply within 2 weeks. It took them 3 weeks to reply by email.. I finally got ahold of them on twitter only to be ghosted. When I arrived to pick up the car, the exact issue I was trying to contact them about happened. Luckily the counter folks were nice, but it still resulted in us waiting 2 hours for our car to be ready…. Never again will I rent a Hertz brand car

Went above and beyond expectations. It was our first time to rent a vehicle for over the road travel due to an emergency. The staff at Hertz in Norfolk -Jacobay- and the staff member in Memphis who signed the car in welcomed us back home It was a nice touch after two rough days. Stay the course:

I paid to rent a vehicle from Budget at the Norfolk airport. Well, budget at the norfolk airport is not actually at the airport. It’s a mile down the road. I learned that by waiting in line at the rental counter for an hour just to learn that the agency at the actual airport was not the one I had a confirmation with. So we Uber down the the “Budget at the Norfolk airport” just to find out the store was closed. You see our flight arrived at 4:00PM and “Budget at the Norfolk airport” closes at 1:00 on sundays. Needless to say I never picked up my rental for the week because I had to be at my destination in OBX 2 hours from the airport that night. We did have the greatest Uber driver that played Baby Shark for my daughter the whole way. Thanks for absolutely nothing “Budget at the Norfolk airport” Seriously Hope Kayak can reimburse me cause Budget refused.

Poor customer service. The lady who processed the rental had attitude.

There was confusion about the epass for toll payment. The clerk when we dropped off the car was not helpful.
