Cheap Car Rentals in South Mountain, Phoenix

There wasn't anybody at the Payless counter. There was a sign that directed us to Avis. The car wasn't very easy to find and nobody downstairs to help find the stall where the car was. The car drove find however I would not expect to get a car that had a message on the dash that said "WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID LOW". Also it had a tire symbol on the dash indicating one or more tires had low tire pressure.

Appreciated being upgraded at no extra charge from a 7 passenger SUV to an 8 passenger Sienna minivan. Was perfect for hauling our extended family. Check in at PHX was long, but smooth. Rentals too expensive, though.

Pick up was frustrating as the staff was unable to answer any questions as their was response to everything was "I don't know". However, the car was great and the drop off was super easy.

The Kia minivan did very well overall. Wish it had better brakes. But budget gave me a great price and no hassles

The checkin process was extremely slow, they didn’t have the cars and they were understaffed. The person manning the desk was there by herself and doing the best she could.
