The DC Branch of the Budget / Avis counter is a top notch crew. They got slammed with a steady stream of busloads coming in over 2023 Mother's Day Weekend and it overwhelmed the lobby but the team did a fantastic job managing the crowd and getting everyone into wheels and on their way. Outstanding team at that branch.

Rental car was not washed or cleaned inside. The Jeep had 2800 miles on the odometer and was still covered in dirt from previous renters. Jeep was awesome drive, but dirty.

I was allowed to book a car through Kayak when Budget had stopped allowing one way cars nearly 8 hours before. I showed up to pick up my car and was told there are none for me and they’ve been turning people away for the last 8 hours.

Drop off was incredibly easy, check-in wasn’t difficult but there was a very long line. However, when we got the car, the front windshield on the driver side had a large, cloudy patch on it (approx. 1 foot x 1 foot or so) which made it difficult to see to drive. I called attention to it when we were driving out of the lot but he just blew it off. I bought Windex to clean it but it was sticky and extremely difficult to remove — and then I was stuck on my trip with glass cleaner I didn't need. While the interior was fine, I really wish they'd rented me a car with a clean windshield or at least cleaned while I was there.

Our flight was delayed and then we finally were re-routed to BWI, but Dollar would not transfer our rental or even give us the credit for what we had already paid to apply to a new rental so we had to tenant a car at BWI and then drive to Dulles the next day to pick up our original rental. We had to wait for a while to get a car that was actually clean and then the one we did get had dead bugs in the back window.

I changed my reservation so I actually got this car at Dollar at DCA. It was a terrible experience. Took 90 min in line to get the car. They were giving everyone the hard sale for insurance. The car that they gave me had an issue. They almost made me give it back when I was exiting with it. I will never go back there again. It was like being in purgatory for everyone who was renting from them that day.

Full economy, quick service for both pick-up and drop-off, quiet car. The car had a high-frequency vibration at highway speeds. All tires need to be spin-balanced and alignment checked. Directions for the drop-off point were misleading, with contradicting paperwork giving a street address in one place and terminal in another. Enterprise was in a different location than most of the other agencies (poor signage didn't help).

the staff at the office was very friendly and helpful, there was an issue with my credit card magnetic stripe and they worked hard to resolve the issue. the car was clean, there were several different models to choose from and the pickup and return process was very convenient

The car was dirty inside. Dirt and crumbs on floor mats, trunk, all over middle center council and on steering wheel. It didn’t look like it was cleaned at all. Finger prints on steering wheel and screen. Car had a slight smell of cigarettes. The guy at pick up spot was nice and curteous, asked me if I wanted him to vacuum the floor.. but I didn’t have time for that. Plus it wasn’t just the floor to be cleaned. The car should have been cleaned before I got the car. I have pictures if needed.

Friendly staff at rentals counter. Lot attendants were disorganized and driving erratically when bringing vehicles to waiting customers (i.e. peeling out, speeding and unsafe stops near customers). Booked a compact car and was given an Acura TSX that wreaked like pot/cigarettes and looked like it had been through some pretty sketchy previous rentals. Car was riddled with dents, scratches and has extremely bald and dry rotted tires. This car should not be on the road. Overall, I got what I paid for and was able to get home after missing my connection.

It was really bad, I got scammed… they changed the price and were charged me $130 more for then my original booked price at Kayak. I had to drop the car basically the same night instead of the next day. I was still then not charged the price I reserved for at Kayak. Stay away from that location. It was really bad.

There was a power surge during pickup of the car, this cannot be helped by the company but they took 30 minutes to start processing reservations manually, once that started the computers came back up and they spent another 20 minutes trying to reset the computers instead of simply manually processing transactions. There were 4 customers in front of me and I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes to pick up my car.

Thirfty did not have any cars available when I arrived. They were going to give me a Camaro but I honestly don't know how people drive those things. Having my wife and toddler with me just made it a hard no. After some haggling I was given a Ford SUV which was fine.

Nearly missed my flight due to waiting for more then an hour and a half for the curtesy bus not picking up waiting customers at the car return. Only one person working and didn't know how to contact the driver who was sitting at the terminal waiting for a call to let him know there were passengers needing to picked up. Some people called for Ubers. When the drive did show up he said he came back thinking something was wrong since he didn't hear from them. There is no reason this should have gone a poorly as it did. I won't be using this location again. That means Thrifty, Dollar and Hertz are out for me. Thanks for narrowing down my choices for this location which I will be traveling too once a month.

Car smelled like smoke. One way fee of $400 to RDU is a ripoff. Now way to get a timely receipt of return. Told to just leave the keys in the car and park it. Nobody available to give me a return receipt. Car had multiple scratches that I documented.

I asked for a compact e ded up with a 7 seatwr gas guzzler for me. I am One person . 5 ft tall and barely see over the dash. After flying 29 hours a d arriving at 1030pm the experience wS horrible. The attendant at the desk argued and rebutted my claims my frustration until he had me in tears. The car had damage on it which he refused to come out and notated. After 2 hrs hrs of worthless arguing that I would take it but bring it back in the morning. His answer was "it won't do u no good, we are not going to exchange it. You signed up for a mysterycar. I did not. Between Kayak , priceline and Avis I was assigned a mystery car but I had clicked on a Compact. In the end it was now 2 hrs later, I was angry frustrated and exhausted. I took it but not before taking my own photos Horrid experience.
