Dropoff staff was helpful, once I found a place that was open.
Vehicle was not ready at pick up time. I left to eat and came back and they said it would be an hour or more longer wait for the type of vehicle I wanted (something fuel efficient) . They offered me a larger vehicle that I could take then, which accepted assuming it would be for the price I expected of ~$115 including fees&taxes. The employee did not mention an increased fee for the available vehical. I was badgered into paying an additional ~$23 for scratch protection. I did not look closely at the paperwork because I was in a rush by that point, so was upset to find when I stopped for fuel and checked the paperwork in my email and saw that I was charged $167, in addition to having a fuel cost higher than I had planned for. I except that I did agree to the scratch protection racket, though I was badgered into it, but I am angry about the additional ~$25 that I do not know the origin of. It is not worth my time to figure it out, since I am back home and back to work. It isn't even worth my time to go check the exact values for this rant rather than include approximate costs from memory. But I will avoid Enterprise and probably Kayak in the future.
