No hidden charges, they had a VERY good attitude which I unfortunately had 2 bad experiences prior with 2 separate rental companies. Very refreshing to have such good staff. They didn’t force insurance on me. And they offered to drop me off after dropping off my rental. Very satisfied.

I returned it to the location I rented from and was told they couldn't give me a ride to the repair shop my car was in. They told me after I had checked in that they could void the return and I could drive to a different location and return it there instead and they would be able to give me a ride from that location. When I did that I was told by the second location that I was a gallon of gas short and they would charge me. The first location checked me in at 5/8 a tank which is where it was when I got the car, but the second location said it was at 1/2 a tank. The 2 locations are only 3.5 miles apart. I could not have used an 1/8 of a tank. 1/8 in a 12 gallon of tank is a gallon and a half. On a compact car a gallon and a half will get you about 40 miles. Again the distance of the 2 locations was nowhere near 40 miles. I even looked at the gas gauge before I exited the car at the second location and it was still at 5/8. I was already running late for work so I didn't bother arguing and just paid their inflated price for a gallon of gas. Very displeased with the nickel and diming and the inaccurate reading.
Staff was friendly, but overworked. The car I reserved was available, which I appreciated.
There was a long line and only one person working at the desk. The car smelled like mildew pretty strongly. There was a cleanliness seal on the car, but the person who recorded the condition of the car got inside to pull it forward, defeating the purpose of the seal.

Car was not clean when picked up. Had less than a half tank of gas. Google says business opens at 8 but we had to wait until 9 before anybody showed up for drop off.

The staff saved us from the nightmare that Kayak set up. They knowingly deceive customers by making them believe they are renting at LAX and we were instead in Van Nuys. This happens several times a day and staff is very upset because they feel it is a bad reflection on Hertz. Cannot get $ back.
Hertz staff kindly worked with us and saved the mess Kayak created. Hertz - you need to remove your company from this Kayak website - ask your wonderful staff!

Easy pick-up process, they didn't have the car we reserved but they upgraded us so it was fine by me. It was a local rental for a couple of days. Didn't experience any problems with the car whatsoever. Staff was courteous. Overall smooth process.
Cars were Sold Out even after I was offered to reserve a Rental. Digital platform needs some major TLC!

My rental was cancelled the night before my scheduled pickup. No other options were offered and it was very dificultades make my plans happen as we had no transportation. Very disappointed !!

Worst car rental experience I've ever had. The guy renting me the car is an awful person. His name is Ron B. from the Lankershim location. Rude, unprofessional, and outright mean. I got a dirty car that didn't even have a full tank. There were no other cars so I had no option but to take it.
Ron B from the Lankershim location I picked up should be fired. I rarely feel this way. Feel free to reach out if you'd like more specifics.
