The car was filthy! Not disinfected at all, not cleaned at all! The car had a thick layer of dust on all surfaces, dog footprints on the the floor covers, chocolate ( we are hoping) on the doors, handprints and just overall dirty...this during raging Covid cases in LA.
Obviously, sticking to the "Hertz Gold Standard of Cleaning" or just cleaning the car as expected.
Did not have the vehicle or even similar type vehicle available at pick. Had to go rent vehicle from another company.
Nothing. I liked absolutely nothing about Hertz service.

A simple process made easy. It has better choice of cars and the price is lowest in the market. More importantly, Hertz care about the customers and listen to their concerns.
This was a classic bait and switch. We arrived: The driver's license for my fellow traveler was expired, so I came to the desk less than 8 minutes later (even though I did not want to drive) and, having no choice, booked the car again online (which showed available both online and was said to be available when we first arrived) and was told that within that 8 minutes only a mini-van that cost more than twice the price was now available. I was also told that all other dealers were likely sold out, because of high-demand and this was likely my only choice. I drove down that street and had an array of cars available to me at Budget Rent-A-Car without any of these bait and switch tactics. This is not a good way to do business and is nothing but bait and switch. I will never be going to this location again and suggest that Kayak end its relationship with this company which clearly has a whole host of similar complaints from other unhappy customers.

The model of the car was great . It was great on gas.
The return of the car . It was hard to leave it out close to street.

Got hard time at drop off, almost missed flights, looks like they plan to send claim to my insurance. This is all because girl didn’t mark the damage on the contract when giving me a car.
