Cheap Car Rentals in Westchester, Los Angeles from ฿799

It was the worst vacation related experience ever! After waiting a 1/2 an hour for a Budget bus at LAX we tried to hail one down only to have the empty Budget bus accelerate away from us. After another 5 minutes of waiting we tried to get another bus’s attention as it tried to evade us, again it was empty, I jumped toward it and it stopped. The Budget bus driver yelled at me for jumping in the street and then proceeded to load everyone on the bus then he got into argument with a traffic police officer. Then he got in the bus and finally we thought we were on our way. Keep in mind this is about 35 minutes of waiting at the curb at the American terminal at LAX at 9:30 PM. But no. For some inexplicable reason the Budget bus driver got out of his seat and ran out of the bus and restarted the argument with the traffic officer. He started pushing the officer around and then jumped back in the bus and said the officer assaulted him. From were I was sitting it seemed like the opposite really happened. Then he announced that a supervisor was needed. More waiting as he called on the radio for a supervisor. After that he went back outside and argued with now a congregation of officers. I called the local Budget office and told them what happened and to send another bus asap. I urged the others, there were about a dozen of us to do the same. Then my wife spotted another Budget bus. I ran outside and flagged it down. Afterwards all of us got on the bus and we were finally on way to get our Budget rental car. Luckily there was no line to get the car because apparently for what ever reason the buses were not picking up renters at the terminals. I will never rent from Budget again. And I urge everyone not to consider Budget for their rental needs especially at LAX .

Pickup was fine got in the car and everything was fine except the car looked a bit dirty but it’s a rental how bad can it be? Until we settled in and we’re on the highway and the smell of urine was seeping through the car. It was awful and truly smelled like it was all over the car. Now the cleanliness all together came into question. I dropped off another location and let them know about it and they didn’t really care and I asked how a business could even let a car in that shape leave the lot and they said sorry and will note it on the account. Funny thing is they didn’t even ask for my name as the main office and return were not in the same spot. Needless to say I have not received a receipt yet as they told me I’d get one emailed. Definitely will not be using Budget again unless it’s a huge savings because the car was disgusting and the customer service was abysmal.

Smooth transaction from start to finish. Great price too

We had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle. The rental counters were understaffed and we had to wait nearly 2 hours in line to get car keys. We picked Avis because we had to drive a long way and they advertised having hybrids and let us reserve one, but when we got to the counter they said they did not have any available so we had to get something with much worse fuel economy. The car was poorly washed on the outside, and had leftover trash from previous renters on the inside. When we went to return the car at our destination, we could not complete the return since the rental counter closed at 1pm and it was now 3:30pm. At no point were we given anything warning us that our destination Avis lot had limited operating hours. So we had to drive all the way out to the lot again the next day, which meant we had to pay that day's rental fees as well.

They are clearly baiting customers with "low rates" but count on them not reading the 'fine print' mentioning that they are basically forcing you to add the daily insurance which ranges from $15-40 a day. Their policy states that if you opt out of this you must have full coverage (which they ask you for a lot of personal information to go this route) or to use your credit cards included rental coverage they will have to place a $1000 or so hold on your credit card. Even when I mentioned I read their policy and wanted to do the Credit Card route and put a hold, they told me it would be $1500 I said: that's fine I have more than enough credit, they still flat out denied me the rental. This company doesn't have employees, it has salespeople working to upsell and force innocent people into spending money they shouldn't be spending and denying others that won't fold to their tactics.

Rental was canceled by the time I was there to pick up the car without notice no one tried to contact me I was not aware and showed up for nothing

U save has two tier mileage rentals. Unlimited for travelers and limited for locals which isn't explained online. How does usage determines if you're a traveler or not? A rental is a rental! U save shouldn't be bias or prejudice on renters!
