They made the drop off really quick and easy. Also, the people at the front desk were nice.

Charged me for prepaid fuel when it was empty to start. Had till fill it up 30 min after picking it up. Went to drop it off I was ignored and gas lit. Then said a supervisor would contact me. Still waiting.

The rental needed oil, cooling n windshield liquid We had a Low pressure tire in the rear n the van was not clean

The clerk wasn’t welcoming and friendly. She was a military style despot: very short with people.

I was able to reserve a car online a few hours prior to pick up. WHen I went to hertz I was told there was no car.

Everything went smoothly with my rental until the end — I was charged twice by Hertz. I prepaid for the rental and the woman checking me out insisted I hadn’t, even though I showed the receipt. I had to get somewhere shortly after returning the car, so I eventually just gave up and will dispute the charge with my credit card company, but it was very bizarre. I definitely prepaid, and the charge on my credit card bill says “Hertz.”

The employee at Budget showed up late. Another customer and I were standing around for ~20 minutes. (He arrived around 9:20, and the place was supposed to be open at 7:00. He gave no explanation.) He then proceeded to give me a car that only had a quarter tank of gas (I was in the middle of Manhattan without easy access to a gas station), and the car was filthy inside. The windshield washer fluid dispenser wasn’t working, and when I bought fluid to try to fill it, I realized the dispenser was just totally broken. I called customer service, and I received no money off my trip. He was very curt. I was basically told that it was already generous that he offered me a $30 coupon for another rental. I rent cars often, and I have never experienced this. An absolutely terrible operation. Avoid if you can.

This office operated surprisingly well! I was the first customer there, the folks at the counter were helpful and the guy who pulled up my car gave me the full run down of the car and familiarized me with it quickly. Drop off was painless. The only issue of course was the taxes and fees it added an additional $50 to a $118 dollar rental. So that was wack but that’s rental services.
