Just an awful experience. I had prepaid for my rental at Hertz a month in advance. I was using the car to go out of state for a vacation. When I went to pick up my rental, I was told there was no car available. Then...I was made to call the 800 number to get a refund!! The rental agent at the Wood St. hertz location are beyond rude!! They offered me no help at all!! I ended up getting a rental through Enterprise. Hertz has lost me as a customer!!!

Bert employee was an hour late to work. Once she arrived we found out they didn’t have the car we reserved. Had to find an enterprise and Uber there. We were 90 minutes late leaving because of hertz. Never again.

I didn’t get a car. I went to the pickup location and there were no cars available. The lady at the front desk said they never have cars at that location.

Got to the counter and was told they were completely out of cars. Called customer service and wasn’t helped at all. Had to make a last minute reservation with another company.

They didn’t honor the fee kayak quoted me at, the car wasn’t washed off at all. The gas was not full, the low tire pressure light was on. The guys at Hertz in Philly were awful. The Hertz lady in Boston was the only good thing about the whole experience

Awful. My car was not ready when I arrived to pick it up- and the staff was not communicating their plan to resolve the situation. I finally got a car after sitting in their lobby for almost 3 hours just waiting with very little apologies or contact with the staff. During that time, the staff shared very little information and were just hanging out and laughing, playing on their phones, etc. and making no effort to even explain the situation to all of us waiting. I was unsure if I was even going to get a car at the end of all this. Most people I was waiting with ended up canceling their reservations with Hertz. When the car was finally ready, no one walked through it with me so I ended up being billed for a dent that was there before I even got the car. Very disappointed and I will never rent from Hertz again.
Our car had trash in it and very little gas when we picked it up, later realized that the trunk did not lock.

There were coffee spills and a small bag of trash in the car. It was obvious they relied on the previous renters to do the cleaning. It seems like the staff didn't check the car before my use. The car was fine, the gas was full and there was no damage to the vehicle, but it could have been cleaned better and it also had the scent of cigarettes.

Our flight was delayed and the Budget we secured our car from was not answering the phone during normal business hours. They did not save our rental for the next day (the location was closed when our flight got in) No one at any local Budget office was helpful. Will not be using this rental agency again.
The office was closed before scheduled, so we couldn't return the car accordingly.
