Which airlines operate flights to Brazil?

British Airways is the main airline that operates flights to Brazil, although KLM and Iberia sometimes provide flights that are connecting. British Airways offer complimentary food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, and providing they have stock you can theoretically ask them for snacks and drinks for the duration of your flight. Once you’ve figured out exactly where you’re going, you’ll be able to research airlines and find cheap flight to Brazil.

How to get from the airport to the city centre?

Sao Paulo International:

The airport is around 30 km away from the city, and the main transportation to and from the airport is a taxi. The best taxi’s to get are blue and white Guarucoop radio taxis. There are safer than the ‘common’ taxis and you’re more likely to get a fairer fee. You’ll know the difference as the common ones are normally plain white. There are also several bus options too, the cheapest being a budget bus to the metro and then continuing your journey from there.

Rio de Janeiro International:

Most flights from Europe fly to Sao Paulo first, so make sure you don’t get confused after your long flights to Brazil. Air conditioned buses run every 20 or 30 minutes from the airport to the beaches and downtown Janeiro, and are a great option for tourists wanting to ride some local transport and saving some money (as opposed to a taxi) whilst also getting conveniently to their hotel. The bus stops along the route on request so you can get off pretty much exactly where you want. You can also get a taxi directly to your hotel, these will set you back more money but if you can split the fare between a few of you they can be a great option. It’s best to use a pre-paid booth to order you taxi to ensure you don’t get ripped off.
