When I booked (pick up in jacksonville and drop off in alexandria) my price quote was in the $500’s. Upon pickup the vehicle reservation appeared to be pick up and drop off at the same location in jacksonville. The Budget employee informed us that we could come back and fix it later. I called a few days later and was told their system was locked because they were booked out for the week. I called corporate and was told there was nothing they could so except charge me the fee for returning to a different location ($300+) Our total upon returning the vehicle was $845. To say I’m upset and frustrated is an understatement. In a day where we book things from our phone, on the go, with no printed copy of our reservation, I would hope mistakes like this wouldn’t happen. And if and when they do occur, I would hope the company would have enough Integrity to equip its employees to make it right for the customer. Instead I am left feeling robbed and not taken care of. Just another $ to a company. What should have been a wonderful trip to visit my husband and kids dad after months away at training, is left marked with the tinge of frustration as the amount of money our rental car ended up costing. Which isn’t an easy price tag to swallow. We could have flown for cheaper I hope you re evaluate how you equip your team to take care of it’s customers. Unsure if I can ever speak kindly of Budget and it’s “budget friendly” prices to any of my friends or family.
