|Aug 2023Still pretty pricey for rental cars but definitely the best deal I found out there. I tried to shift the dates about a month out from my original reservation date and the price was going to double. A bit ridiculous. I also had issues with the Keysense in the car that controls all of the electronic alerts. Was distracting having alerts going off almost leading to crashing due to being startled, & frustrating with the volume limit in the car, not being able to hear phone calls or directions. Had to plug phone into external speaker. Tried to call and talked to several costumer service representatives about trying to find the keysense PIN number for the car, and no one was able to help. That was my biggest frustration with the car.

|Aug 2023It was 9 pm and most of the people that were in line did not have a reservation. When it was my turn in line, after waiting an hour in line, I was given a car that I did not purchase. Then I received a vehicle that was dirty and had trash in it. Then I received a damaged vehicle. I was offered a refund for an extra day, but was still charged over full price for the rental. First and last time I rent with Avis. How can one place be so unorganized.

|Jun 2023Terrible. The man I worked with was shady and charged me for a car I didn’t want just so that he could get commission! Next thing I know, my bill was sky high and now I have to dispute the entire thing. Extremely poor customer service. Very disappointed.

|Mar 2026Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about roots car and truck rental. They are a scam the SUV I purchased on expedia.com was supposed to be under $400 after attending the facility picking up the vehicle they added insurance all these different charges. My bill came out to over $1400. I would really recommend not renting from this place. Don’t sign any paperwork read all the fine print this place is a rip off. I’ve never even heard of them, but I would rent from a reputable Rent-A-Car place do not rent from this company.

|Mar 2026No line at pick up, relatively quick shuttle experience Could do better: At pick up, they tried to give me a car class below what I had reserved, and then tried to say I could have that class for several hundred dollars more. Only be standing to what I had reserved did I get a car that met my needs.

|Nov 2025There were a LOT of hidden fees, and my reservation ended up costing 5x what I expected. I will not rent with Routes again.

|Aug 2025I didn’t even pick up the car. I showed up and they wouldn’t accept my car insurance and instead tried to force me to buy theirs which more than quadrupled the price. I said absolutely not and left. They’re a total scam and everyone around me was having the same issue.

|May 2025Paperwork and signing took longer than my mortgage paperwork. Line was very long and agents took 30 minutes each person.

|Oct 2022Drop off was easy, and they had plenty shuttles ready to take me to the airport. Pick-up was very slow as they only had 1 person working and things moved very slowly. Eventually they got more people to help, but I was already at the front of the line by that time. Took almost an hour from the time I got there until I got a car.
